Article I Article 1, sub-paragraph (b), of the Convention For the purpose of the present Protocol, the expression “members of the mission” shall have the meaning assigned to it in, namely “the head of the mission and the members of the staff of the mission”. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article II Members of the mission not being nationals of the receiving State, and members of their families forming part of their household, shall not, solely by the operation of the law of the receiving State, acquire the nationality of that State. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article III Convention The present Protocol shall be open for signature by all States which may become Parties to the, as follows: until 31 October 1961 at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria and subsequently, until 31 March 1962, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article IV The present Protocol is subject to ratification. The instruments of ratification shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article V Convention The present Protocol shall remain open for accession by all States which may become Parties to the. The instruments of accession shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article VI 1 Convention The present Protocol shall enter into force on the same day as theor on the thirtieth day following the date of deposit of the second instrument of ratification or accession to the Protocol with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, whichever date is the later. 2 For each State ratifying or acceding to the present Protocol after its entry into force in accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, the Protocol shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after deposit by such State of its instrument of ratification or accession. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article VII Convention The Secretary-General of the United Nations shall inform all States which may become Parties to the: (a) of signatures to the present Protocol and of the deposit of instruments of ratification or accession, in accordance with Articles III, IV and V; (b) of the date on which the present Protocol will enter into force, in accordance with Article VI. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Article VIII The original of the present Protocol, of which the Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish texts are equally authentic, shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who shall send certified copies thereof to all States referred to in Article III. 1962 101 27-09-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Artikel III Verdrag Dit Protocol staat open ter ondertekening door alle staten die partij kunnen worden bij het. Tot 31 oktober 1961 staat dit Protocol ter ondertekening open bij het Bondsministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken van Oostenrijk en na die datum, tot 31 maart 1962, bij de Verenigde Naties te New York. 1962 159 28-12-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Artikel V Verdrag Dit Protocol blijft open voor toetreding door elke staat die partij kan worden bij dit. De akten van toetreding worden nedergelegd bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties. 1962 159 28-12-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Artikel VI 1 Verdrag Dit Protocol treedt in werking op diezelfde dag als hetof op de dertigste dag die volgt op de datum van nederlegging van de tweede akte van bekrachtiging van of toetreding tot het Protocol bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties, al naar gelang welke van deze twee data de laatste is. 2 Ten aanzien van elke staat die dit Protocol bekrachtigt of ertoe toetreedt nadat het overeenkomstig lid 1 van dit artikel in werking is getreden, treedt dit Protocol in werking op de dertigste dag na de datum waarop die staat zijn akte van bekrachtiging of toetreding heeft nedergelegd. 1962 159 28-12-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Artikel VII Verdrag De Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties doet alle staten die partij kunnen worden bij het, mededeling van: (a) de ondertekeningen van dit Protocol en van de nederlegging van akten van bekrachtiging of toetreding overeenkomstig de artikelen III, IV en V; (b) de datum waarop dit Protocol overeenkomstig artikel VI in werking zal treden. 1962 159 28-12-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984

Artikel VIII Het origineel van dit Protocol, waarvan de Chinese, Engelse, Franse, Russische en Spaanse teksten gelijkelijk authentiek zijn, wordt nedergelegd bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties, die voor eensluidend gewaarmerkte afschriften ervan doet toekomen aan alle in artikel III bedoelde staten. 1962 159 28-12-1962 1984 108 14-09-1984 07-10-1984
