1 For the purposes of the present exchange of Diplomatic Notes, ``apprentice" means a person who has been accepted by ESA for its apprenticeship programme for ESTEC for the purpose of performing certain tasks at ESTEC without receiving salary from ESA therefor. 3 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall register the apprentice in the Netherlands for the purpose of his apprenticeship at ESTEC for a maximum period of one year, provided that ESA supplies the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a declaration signed by the apprentice, accompanied by adequate proof, to the effect that: a) the apprentice entered the Netherlands in accordance with the applicable immigration procedures; b) the apprentice has sufficient financial means for living expenses and for repatriation, as well as sufficient medical insurance (including coverage of costs of hospitalization for at least the duration of the apprenticeship plus one month) and third party liability insurance, and will not be a charge to the public purse of the Netherlands; c) the apprentice will not work in the Netherlands during his apprenticeship other than as an apprentice at ESTEC; d) the apprentice will not bring any family members to reside with him in the Netherlands other than in accordance with the applicable immigration procedures; e) the apprentice will leave the Netherlands within 14 days after termination of his apprenticeship with ESA unless he is otherwise entitled to stay in the Netherlands in accordance with the applicable immigration legislation. 2004 206 24-08-2004 23-07-2004 2005 85 18-04-2005 15-03-2005 2004 206 24-08-2004 23-07-2004 2004 206 24-08-2004 23-07-2004 23-07-2004

11 This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period of time. 1 Ten behoeve van de huidige uitwisseling van diplomatieke nota's, wordt verstaan onder „stagiair" een persoon die door ESA is toegelaten tot zijn stageprogramma voor ESTEC voor het vervullen van bepaalde taken bij ESTEC zonder daarvoor van ESA een salaris te ontvangen. 3 Het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken registreert de stagiair in Nederland ten behoeve van zijn stage bij ESTEC voor een tijdvak van ten hoogste een jaar, mits ESA het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken een door de stagiair ondertekende verklaring doet toekomen, vergezeld van voldoende bewijs waaruit blijkt dat: a. de stagiair Nederland is binnengekomen in overeenstemming met de van toepassing zijnde immigratieprocedures; b. de stagiair over voldoende financiële middelen beschikt om in zijn levensonderhoud te voorzien alsmede voor zijn terugkeer, en voldoende verzekerd is tegen ziektekosten (met inbegrip van een dekking voor kosten van ziekenhuisopname voor ten minste de duur van de stage plus een maand) en een wettelijkeaansprakelijkheidsverzekering, en niet ten laste zal komen van de openbare middelen van Nederland; c. de stagiair gedurende zijn stage in Nederland uitsluitend werkzaam zal zijn in het kader van zijn stage bij ESTEC; d. de stagiair geen familieleden meebrengt die bij hem in Nederland zullen wonen, tenzij in overeenstemming met de desbetreffende immigratieprocedures; e. de stagiair Nederland verlaat binnen 14 dagen na het einde van zijn stage bij ESA, tenzij hij op andere gronden gerechtigd is in Nederland te verblijven in overeenstemming met de desbetreffende immigratiewetgeving. 2004 264 26-10-2004 23-07-2004 2005 85 18-04-2005 15-03-2005 2004 264 26-10-2004 23-07-2004 2004 206 24-08-2004 23-07-2004 23-07-2004

11 Dit Verdrag wordt voor onbepaalde tijd gesloten.
